Our Cherries
Cherry Bluff Orchard grows only the sweetheart cherry variety. These cherries are dark red and are known for their delicious crunch with sweet and tangy notes.

Sweetheart cherries are a cross between the new star and van cherry varietals and are known for their late-season maturity, high yields, and sweet, subtly tart flavor.

We are excited to offer the opportunity for the community to taste our cherries all while supporting a small family-owned farm at the same time.
How Cherries Measure Up:
Cherry Row Count
Cherries from the Northwest used to be packed in small 4-5 lb. wooden boxes for shipping. The amount of cherries you could fit in a row across the top became the sizing scale. Even when the industry began shipping in larger crates and later cardboard boxes – the industry stuck with the “row” sizing scale.
Most cherries are now sized electronically by rapid-image-scanners for sorting. Large cherries (the lowest row count) command the highest prices. Small cherries, like 12 row and smaller, are often used for processing in canning, juice, dried or frozen.
